While doing blog tours for a new release, a lot of people ask something like: What was your inspiration for this story?
I can’t tell you what inspired Kate and Kyle’s story. All I know is that these two wrapped themselves around my brain and wouldn’t let go until I finished telling their tale. Even then, they wouldn’t stop circling in my brain.
I love these characters. I love their courage and connection. I love their dedication to each other even though they know their relationship can’t last. And I love the lessons they learn from each other.
Kate learns that she doesn’t have to date jerks to have a lover who is willing to treat her a little rough. And Kyle learns that he likes to walk a little closer to the wild side than he had previously realized.
These are great lessons, and they learned them in the best possible way. In the bedroom.
